Completed First Histotripsy For 1st Stage Of Liver Cancer Treatment
Pre--Histotripsy Evaluation: 2 masses, 1 smaller than the other, with the smaller mass described below:
Within the central right hepatic lobe, there is the suggestion of a subtle mass measuring approximately 5.0 x 4.5 x 3.cm that is 5.2 cm from the center of the mass to the muscle and 6.5 cm from the center of the mass to the skin.
The larger mass is as described below:
Within the left and right hepatic lobes, there is the suggestion of an additional subtle mass measuring approximately 12.4 x 8.2 x 12.3 cm that is 6.5 cm from the center of the mass to the muscle and 7.7 cm from the center of the mass to the skin.
The procedure was to aim the acoustic pathway (done through a water bath suspended over my abdomen, as the acoustic waves are accomplished through the medium of water, air not being a viable medium). The larger mass was done using a 4.0 cm cavity, with treatment time of 23 minutes, 10 seconds at an avg. voltage of 63.5%. The smaller mass had a cavity size of 3.0 cm, with treatment time of 12:01 at an avg. voltage of 56.8%
I had an abdominal MRI w/ and w/o contrast today, but don't have the radiology report yet.
The goal is to treat a small portion of the cancer with the hope of creating an abscopal effect, whereby the tumor antigens given off during the procedure can be used to identify my particular liver cancer and my own immune system can help eradicate my cancer elsewhere in my body.
I fly to Dr. Burns office in Mission Viejo for treatment with PEF (Pulsed Electric Fields) for my lung cancer and hip cancer, and eventually other cancers in my spine and skeletal system.
Since Dr. Burns trained at MDA, he knows the doctor that did the RF ablation to my thoracic spine last year, and where appropriate, can treat me again.
I will also hear from Dr. Jason Williams next week, as they studied my scans and medical records at their tumor board today.
My research has led me to (1) build up my collapsed immune system with Anktiva, consisting of a subQ injection every 21 days, (2) going directly to the cancer using various ablation techniques, with the specific goal of encouraging the abscopal effect(s).
This avoids the systemic damage caused by chemo and radiation, and encourages one's own immune system to eradicate the cancer, both in the present time as well as in the future, requiring me to continually monitor Circulating Cancer Cells with liquid biopsies, such as through RGCC, Signaterra, and any other immune system tests.
A thorough understanding of Immunology is the required background if one wants to truly understand the treatment of cancer at the stage we are in.
Think about it logically. Is intra-tumoral injections, such as when they do a biopsy, a perfect time to inject immunological agents, or even chemo, that has been identified through testing like the RGCC, a way to treat cancer without the cytotoxic effects of systemic chemo?
If thermal, heat or cryo, cold, can be used, or mechanical, acoustical waves can be used to ablate the tumors, then the systemic effects of chemo or the immune collapsing effects of radiation can be avoided. The only reason the FDA doesn't do everything in it's power to promote such protocols is strictly due the enormous revenue generated through Big Pharma.
It will take successful outcomes shown through clinical trials and an administration that will take the FDA to task. Go to the Immunity Bio website to read the many Press Releases showing the complete remissions or extended OS (Overall Survival) of the many cancers examined.
