Salut!
Salut tout le monde, je m'appelle GT. I'm an American looking to move to Quebec sometime in the near future, and with that I'd like to be able to speak Quebec French. Linguistics is a hobby interest for me - I already speak a roughly conversational level of Mandarin Chinese alongside my native English so this will be the second language I'm making a commitment to learning, hopefully I'll be able to pick it up just the same!
Introduction
Bonjour! Je m'appele Marshall. Suis Americain et j'habite en Pennsylvania. Je joue aux jeu video avec mes amis quebecois et j'apprends francais [in order to communicate with them in more than English and visit Quebec some day]. I have used Mauril (shh, don't tell on me!) for a few weeks and can't wait to accelerate my learning here! I speak English and Spanish, read Latin, and think French is fascinating! Please forgive my lack of proper accent marks, cedille, etc.! I love the beach, all kinds of history, historical fencing (staff, sword and shield, and more!), tea, fantasy, and cats🐈‍⬛
Salut la gang!
Mon nom est Graham. J'ai déménagé ici au Quebec l'été dernier et j'ai commencé à apprendre le francais à l'automne! So far learning french has been going pretty good, and I feel confident enough in scripted scenarios (like ordering at restaurants or talking to the folks at hotels) but as soon as I start to have a "real" conversation it all falls apart aha My summer is crazy busy, but hoping to be able to join some of the group calls and start working on through some of these courses!
Hey! I’m new to the group.
I’m from a bilingual area of Northern Ontario. I work in a large work place where a lot of people speak Quebec French, and I would love to be able to speak to everyone in their native tongue. My wife and I travelled to Quebec City for our honeymoon, and I realized that it’s time for me to learn! Looking forward to these lessons 🇨🇦
Francisation drop-out :)
Bonjour tout le monde! Je suis Andrea. I'm a piano teacher in Montréal, I moved here a few years ago from BC. I did a few levels of the Francisation program when I first got here, but I didn't keep up with practicing sooooo I've regressed to square 1 (maybe square 2). Hoping to improve my ear and learn some expressions, and maybe even teach some music lessons en français in the future! 🤞🤞
Francisation drop-out :)
