Can I be real for a second?
Most of the internet is a highlight reel. This is the other thing.
A few years back, a season took the floor out from under me. I'll spare the details. But there was a stretch where I was numbing more than living, and it dragged me about as low as a person goes. I'd gotten good at running... from hard conversations, from people who loved me, mostly from myself.
I clawed back one honest day at a time. The thing I'd been hiding from was me. The day I got honest with myself is the day it turned. I'm a family man now, living the real life in front of me, not the highlight reel.
"Can I be real for a second" was never a catchphrase. It's how I live now... honest with myself first. Thank you for being here. Not just for buying in, but for getting real when scrolling was easier.
