🌈 Sensory Tray- Water Beads
Welcome 🫶🏼
🌈 Hi everyone, I’m so glad you’re here. I wanted to introduce myself properly and share why I’ve created Busy Brains Play Lab. Firstly, my name is Lateisha, I’ve worked in Early Childhood Education and Care for many years and I have spent a lot of time supporting young children through play, learning and big emotions. I’ve also had my own real-life parenting experience with busy, active and sensory-seeking neurodivergent children. I know how overwhelming it can feel when you’re trying to support behaviour, encourage learning and just get through the day without relying on screens- we do still use screens in our home BUT it has become something used with purpose and at limited times. Busy Brains Play Lab is a space where I’ll be sharing simple sensory and educational play ideas that are realistic for everyday homes. Many of these setups are low-prep, low-cost and designed to support regulation, engagement and confidence through hands-on experiences. This isn’t about perfection or Pinterest-worthy activities. It’s about understanding our kids better, creating opportunities for meaningful play and feeling more confident as parents and carers. I also hope this becomes a supportive community where we can share what’s working, what feels hard and learn from each other along the way. If you feel comfortable, I’d love you to introduce yourself below and share a little about your child or what you’re hoping to gain from being here. Look forward to getting to know you all and sharing more with you soon! Lateisha 🫶🏼
