At a recent networking event, I encountered a situation that got me thinking. A person delivering their "30-second pitch" used technical language that made it difficult for me to understand what they actually do. I wrote them off immediately because they never answered the unspoken question at hand for me.
This experience made me realize the importance of simplifying communication in order to effectively convey one's work and engage with others outside of the industry.
It's essential to articulate our roles and goals in a way that resonates with different audiences and prompts them to actively seek more information. By clearly defining our purpose and simplifying our message, we can improve our ability to connect and then we all succeed!
