๐Ÿ“ˆ Why Companies Need Business Analysts More Than Ever ๐Ÿ’ผ
I never realized how badly companies needed Business Analysts, until I started working with them. Over the past couple of years, Iโ€™ve sat down with organisations in almost every industry: finance, healthcare, retail, tech, and they all had the same problem: ๐Ÿ‘‰ They had tons of dataโ€ฆ but no clear direction. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Their teams werenโ€™t aligned. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Projects were stalling. Money was being wasted. And guess what was missing? ๐Ÿ” Someone to ask the right questions. ๐Ÿ” Someone to connect the dots between the business and IT. ๐Ÿ” Someone to turn โ€œWe think this is the problemโ€ into โ€œHereโ€™s what we need to do.โ€ That โ€œsomeoneโ€ is a Business Analyst. Iโ€™ve seen first-hand how valuable this role is. BAs literally keep projects from falling apart. They bring clarity, structure, and alignmentโ€”and theyโ€™re often the reason a digital transformation actually works. Right now, there are 3,000+ unfilled BA roles in the UK (yep, I checked LinkedIn Jobs just this week). Companies are actively searching for people who can do this work. If youโ€™ve ever felt like youโ€™re good at problem-solving, asking questions, organizing chaos, or making sense of complex situations, you might be way closer to this career than you think. ๐Ÿ“Œ Iโ€™ve put together something that shows how people are stepping into BA roles from all kinds of backgrounds, and how you can too. DM me the word BA START or check Tech Transition: Leverage Your Existing Skills in the classroom. This could honestly change the game for you. PMI-PBA
Hello , do you offer PMI-PBA revision aids ?
Something I wish I realised earlier when starting out in this field
One thing Iโ€™ve realised whilst trying to learn new skills and move forward professionally is how easy it is to overthink everything at the start. You see people already in good roles, speaking confidently, knowing all the terminology, and it can make you feel like youโ€™re miles behind before youโ€™ve even begun. But honestly, some of the biggest progress Iโ€™ve made came from just asking questions, staying consistent, and accepting that you donโ€™t need to know everything on day one. Communities like this help with that as well. Sometimes just seeing other peopleโ€™s journeys makes things feel a lot more achievable. Please, whatโ€™s been the biggest mindset shift for you since starting your BA or tech journey?
๐Ÿค” What's the difference between a Business Analyst and a Project Manager?
This is one of the most common questions we get, and if youโ€™ve ever been confused between the two, youโ€™re not alone. Hereโ€™s the simplest way to understand it: ๐Ÿ‘‰ The Business Analyst is the strategic thinker. They figure out what needs to be done. They talk to stakeholders, understand business needs, uncover problems, and recommend solutions. They ask: - โ€œWhatโ€™s the goal here?โ€ - โ€œWhatโ€™s broken and how do we fix it?โ€ - โ€œWhat do users actually need?โ€ ๐Ÿ‘‰ The Project Manager is the planner and organizer. They figure out how to get it done. They manage timelines, coordinate people, track progress, and make sure everything stays on budget. They ask: - โ€œWho needs to do what by when?โ€ - โ€œWhatโ€™s the risk here?โ€ - โ€œAre we delivering on time?โ€ ๐Ÿ’ก Think of it like this: If the business is building a new houseโ€ฆ - The BA designs the blueprint. - The PM makes sure the house gets built. โœ… Many of our students transition into Business Analysis because they love solving problems, working with data, and influencing change, without needing to manage big teams or stressful deadlines like a Project Manager. If you're more curious about the BA route, weโ€™ve got free training inside the group that breaks it down even further, just click "Classroom" and see the unlocked courses. ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ‘‡ Comment below, would you prefer to be the one designing the solution, or the one managing the delivery?
