Exercises I'm Currently Doing To Strengthen My Core After A Diastasis
What do you do when you’re done with physical therapy for a diastasis? Does that mean you’re stuck doing safe rehab exercises forever? Absolutely not! 🙅🏽‍♀️ Continue to challenge yourself and strengthen your WHOLE core in ALL directions. Use weights heavy enough that will make you really focus on your form instead of simply going through the motions. I started out with a four finger width DR and umbilical hernia I was told needed to be surgically repaired and here I am now 2 years later healed and having opted not to have a surgery. Remember the timeline to recovery is your own and not a race ☺️ If you're not sure what "after PT" should actually look like for your body, that's exactly what I help women figure out. I offer free consultations where we talk through where you're at right now and what a real next step could look like for you. Send me a DM and let's set one up. 💛

Name The One Thing Holding You Back From Getting Back To Fitness
“The baby is teething and not letting me sleep” “By the time I come home from work, Im exhausted and don’t feel like doing anything” “Im afraid of the pressure I feel when lifting” “I’ll leak if I try to run” As a pelvic floor PT and mom of 4, I’ve heard or experienced it all. The bottom line is you need to making IT your priority. A non negotiable. It might mean making some sacrifices but honestly we spend way too much time scrolling or streaming shows than we should. Early postpartum I felt more motivated but then the further I got sometimes I felt discouraged because of my “slow progress.” I have learned to just get the workout in no matter what even if it means doing it in my pjs first thing in the morning 😆 So first, let’s identify what’s holding you back?
