Hi! I’m Rebecca, and I’m so glad you’re here. I started Built by Rebecca before I had the entire plan figured out, which was either brave or slightly delusional. Probably a little of both. But rebuilding my own life taught me that I don’t have to see the entire path before I begin. I just have to take the next step, do the next right thing, and be willing to adjust along the way. I created this community because it's hard being a woman! We often put ourselves and our needs last. There is so much life to stay on top of! Work. Take care of everyone. Stay in shape. Keep the house together. Be patient. Be present. Have goals. Chase those goals, but also slow down and enjoy life. Be confident, but not too confident. Be humble enough to ask for help, but don't be needy and still prove you are strong enough to handle everything... It’s exhausting. And then, on top of trying to keep up with all of that, sometimes life throws you a curveball. Before I knew it, I was at rock bottom and starting over with six kids, and nothing. I didn’t have a perfect plan, a backup plan, or really any clue what I was doing. I just knew I had to keep moving forward and figure out the next step as I went. This community is where I want to pull all of that together. I’ll share what I’ve learned, what helped me, what I wish someone had told me, and actual practical resources for rebuilding your life. Some of that will happen through posts and conversations here. Some of it will turn into workshops and programs where we can go deeper, whether that’s safely leaving a domestic violence situation, creating a résumé, finding a job, learning how to network, rebuilding your habits and mindset, or getting physically stronger. I want this to be more than a place where we just talk about changing our lives. I want us to actually do it, with practical tools, honest conversations, and women encouraging each other along the way. Either I’m going to make it... or I’m going to make it. I may have to change the plan approximately 47 times, but I’m still moving forward.
