Jennifer asked what I use to record myself, so here is the exact setup. I use Cap. It records my screen, camera and mic from one little window. I normally choose Window or Area, turn on the camera and mic, then hit record. That is it. Cap is 29/yr Loom is 18/month Why I use it instead of Loom for these simple tutorials: • I can choose exactly what I am showing: one window, one area, or just my camera. • My screen, face camera, and mic controls are all in one clean little panel. • It feels lighter and faster for a quick walkthrough instead of turning every recording into a whole production project. • It is open source, and the paid commercial licence is far cheaper than a typical Loom Business plan for this use case. If you want to try it, use my Cap link here: https://go.cap.so/hasan-sharif That is my referral link, so using it may support me too. If you want, reply with the kind of thing you are trying to record and I will tell you whether I would use Window, Area, or Camera Only.
