Overcoming Obstacles... The Obstacle Is The Way
I want to take a moment to brag about my business partner, —because what he’s done over the last two years deserves it.
This project didn’t start with a template or a shortcut. Erik designed this knife from scratch. Every curve. Every detail. Every decision. When the design demanded more precision, he didn’t outsource—he learned how to code and taught himself how to program and run a CNC machine just to bring the vision to life.
And just as we were ready to move into production… boom.
Tariffs. Trade wars. Rare earth shortages.
The U.S.–China situation made sourcing critical components nearly impossible for North American companies.
For a moment, it honestly felt like two years of work might never see the light of day.
But we didn’t quit.
We adapted. We searched. We problem-solved. And eventually, we found a way to secure the materials we needed to keep going.
That’s why this moment hits different.
The Kiridashi Razor isn’t just a product; it's a result of persistence and Joy Jitsu. It’s what happens when you refuse to compromise and refuse to stop.
We’re incredibly proud of what’s coming—and we can’t wait to put this in your hands and show you what’s possible when tradition meets innovation.
More soon.
