Welcome to Budo Taijutsu Unchained
Welcome to Budo Taijutsu Unchained. Start by introducing yourself below, tell us what brought you here. Whether that's a specific situation you want to be ready for, or just years of wondering if what you learned in a dojo would actually hold up.
Great Kamae you could push over with two fingers.
This is an example of martial ART and not self-defense. This beautiful pose, without connection OR base is not for self protection. Perhaps this is an armed Kamae in this context that he is performing empty handed. He is standing on a tightrope. What about guard or posture? An attacker could grab is helmet and pull him to the ground easily in that position. This isn't reality. It is a living version of a book. And like any page from a book, a finger or two will turn it. This teacher is legit, so when he moves it's great, but some who see THIS will then try to mimic it thinking it will improve skill or give them an upper hand. Nope. This is a A-1 example of skill applied to demonstration. The guy in armor isn't doing anything wrong. It's just not for self defense. Examine and inspect your focus. The life you save may be your own. The purpose of an education is to give us a bullsh!t detector. Use it on your own perception.
