The 10-30-60 rule of networking
When building a network here are some numbers you can follow.
Aim to have 10 people who you can borrow money from.
30 people who you can go on a trip with.
60 people who you can have a meal with.
The point is to prioritize quality over quantity. Don't aimlessly hand out business cards without ever knowing if they will contact you. Properly engage in each conversation and create a lasting impression.
