Hi, some time ago I made myself familiar with lucid dreaming which is a hell of experience 🤩 Though l‘m able to get into this state frequently, I have longer phases in which I does not work out at all. Now that I have introduced Breathwork into my life realizing that it gets you in a meditative state quite easily, I ask myself whether someone can recommend a special Breathwork technique for easy entry into lucid state? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I know my question might seem weird. And I already know the answer to it but just want to double check. Is the down regulating breathing ok with cancer patients who are in late stage 4 of Adenocarcinoma which is an aggressive type in lungs? The patient is in deep pain all the time and I’m advising her to do down regulating simple techniques but she’s afraid that it might make the cells spread more. Can this really happen? Can breathing make cancer more aggressive? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. Quick question 🙋🏻♀️ Does rectangular breathing have the same of effect of reducing cortisol as in box breathing? Or does it have a different one? And what is the ideal ratio for the exhale, inhale vs. the holds? Thanks a lot🙏🏻

Hello dear friends! I need some inspiration.. How do you cope with denial? Denial to practice in order to feel good, to be happy, to live a nice, happy life.. The breathwork, meditation, yoga, gratitude, journaling, anything! When you know what you should do but don't do it.. Is it all about self-worth, strength, perseverance, willingness? Even though I don't believe it, I think that I am still conditioned to see a worthy life as something that should be difficult and hard. And all the tools that I am learning those past years, really helped me and made life easier. But I still seem to seek troubles, problems to solve... Even during my practice, I am only trying to see my dysfunctions. Like not accepting life. How can I stop this denial? I hope my post is clear.. English is not my first language.. Thank you.

I'm about to call some of you out and this might sting. And I'm not sorry (cos I'm doing it from + with love) . Pulse check! Do you like to do nice things for people, offer to help... and exhaust yourself doing all of that, wondering if people appreciate all that you do? Are you always choosing to be pleasant, even when you are secretly steaming inside? Do you let other people make decisions for you all the time cos you want to be seen as "easy-going"? Do you sacrifice your own desires and dreams so you can make someone else happy (like getting married and making a baby for your parents so you can fulfil their lifelong dream; even though you're gay, or prefer to be single)? Do you put on a smile and grit your teeth through a horrible conversation in order to avoid conflict, but all the while you're having an internal eye-roll fest? Do you feel drained hanging out with your friends whose company you no longer enjoy cos all they do is gossip about other people's lives? Do you feel overly responsible for the people you love and for how they feel? Do you feel you can't be yourself most of the time? Do you say "sure, I'd love to" when deep down you mean "fuck no"? Meet the People Pleaser (PP) in you. We do a whole lot more PPing than we would like to admit. When we get brutally honest with our self-examination, we'd be alarmed at how deep our people-pleasing tendencies run and how much they permeate our lives. I know cos I've been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt. I am a recovering chronic people pleaser. Here's what I know about PPs when we strip off the smoke and mirrors. PPs are MANIPULATORS. PPs are LIARS. PPs do "nice" things cos they want something in return – to be liked, adored, validated. In other words, PPs' niceness is CONDITIONAL. I can hear you protesting. "But but but, I am a nice person. I wanna be respectful, I prioritise harmony, I enjoy giving and my core value is LOVE, you know?" By all means give. Not stopping you.

Hey everyone, I've posted on FB but thought I can also post it here to gain more insights. Wondering if anyone had any personal/client experience to stop smoking through breath work? I have a potential client that is looking to stop smoking and I thought creating a breathing protocol in daily life would def. help in changing the negative behaviour towards more positive. if anyone has any idea / input will be very much appreciated. 🙏

Hi beautiful beings, I was wondering if anyone here has a history of anxiety / panic attacks and how breathwork is affecting those for you?

Good [appropriate time] friends, I have been enjoying the different modalities/methods of breath work that I have learned so far in this course. What is YOUR favorite? What situations/times of day do you utilize that method?

I have a super powerful, life-changing, liberating life hack to share with you today. Whenever you are triggered, annoyed, cheesed off, and want a quick reframe, do this. 👉🏼 Ask yourself: "Is this something that will bother me in 5 years’ time?" If this is not something that will bother you in 5 years’ time, don’t spend more than 5 minutes agonising over it. Once you've decided, give yourself permission to FEEL ALL THE FEELS for the next 5 minutes. You'll wanna juice all the anger, frustration, disappointment, shame, injustice, judgement during this 5 minutes. When the 5 minutes are up, it's DONE. And you move on with your life. This one simple tool has saved me hours, days, weeks and months of OPTIONAL, indulgent suffering. It works every friggin' time. It has also freed so many of my clients from hanging on to years and years of anger and hatred. Remember – You get more of whatever you allow. Because if you let it, you will carry it all the way to your grave. Chef's choice. How about you? What do you do when you get triggered? What works for you and what doesn't?

I'm wondering who else out there might be a student of Dr.Joe? I have been doing his meditations daily for almost 2 years now and have been to 3 of his amazing events. Attending his events are what reminded me how powerful breathwork can be and inspired me to start following Brian & Breath Masters on Instagram. Brian's posts kind of blew me how they were so in alignment with the Dr.Joe work! The rest is history 😉 and I am currently in the January certification cohort. I'm very curious to know how you might be using or considering using Dr. Joe's work in your breath work coaching and vice-versa, as they are so very complementary.

I cannot get enough of this community and just want to post every day and communicate with all of you, all the time. :-) So I'll just continue to post my daydreams and questions here. I have heard Brian mention several times in several different places . . .a recommendation to do a journey once a week or once a month. But there's no mention of doing them TOO much. Is there a too much in your experience? I keep wanting to do them multiple times a week and just curious to hear your experiences. Ultimately I'll know when it's a yes and when it's a no, for myself. But currently I feel so addicted and want to do nothing but breathwork journeys all week long. :-D And part of me wonders if I'm overloading myself so I am curious to start a conversation on it with you all. Also . . watcha know about twitching? I've started to experience involuntary and somewhat uncontrollable twitching (mostly in my hips and legs) when I do journeys but also when I do meditations now. Essentially anything I have an intention of using for healing. I also experience this same twitching after orgasm which now I'm curious about because during the journey it feels like trauma release. Maybe it is after orgasm as well? A bit taboo perhaps but a journey feels pretty similar to epic and sacred sex to me. If anyone else wants to chime in on that, I'd love to hear that I'm not alone on this experience. I just assumed everyone else would feel that breathwork is as powerful as sex as well, but so far all the sharing I've done of breathwork with my friends and community - - while it is powerful, no one agrees that it's anything like sex. But to me that level of oneness reached in both is quite similar in essence. Anyone? Part of me doesn't want to post this as I'm new here and learning what is a welcome topic of conversation. :-D

I started day 1 of week two. When i see the explanation it is breathing in and out in the Same pase through your mouth Or nose. When i follow the first practice of day one i hear the breathing in the background and Its 1,2 in and long out. It sounds like the euphoric breath. It makes me very confused and i started to breath wrong. What is the right way to do the holotropic breath? I am very auditory

I am so excited about my breathwork journey! I am looking forward to being educated in the 10 week training. Until then, if I want to share my breath work excitement with my friends that take psychiatric medication, low dose of olanzapjne and others in similar things, which breathing techniques/durations/videos are safe?

From what I understand, this 05-day challenge is for us to choose the best breath according to our individuality and our individual time. However, it is important to practice every day preferably at dawn and use the other breaths throughout the day, becoming stronger for the challenges, leaving the victim and transforming your life. It is true?

Hello Healthy Breathers! I'm interviewing speakers for a women's hormone event, and I would really like to find someone to speak into this from a breathwork perspective. Does anyone have any recommendations? When I give my own spiel, I'll speak into the experience I have had by that point (this will be in May, so I have time to gather my own information), but I'd also love to have a more seasoned healer and breathworker. With various search terms, I'm not coming up with a whole lot, there seem to be articles here and there, but I'm not really finding anyone specializing in the combination. I see this as a powerful modality for cycle-related or menopause related issues. Thanks!

I have just finished day four of MB30. I have been incorporating breath work into my morning routine to keep me consistent. With the other sessions/Journeys I have been able to access them from my Android smartphone and wearing headphones, but I am not able to access the MB30 videos regardless of which browser I am using. It is good for keeping me disciplined because I have to get up, get dressed, and come into the main house (there is a dog run between my room and the rest of the house) to access it on my computer. I have sent an email to success@yogilab.com, but I figured I would inquire here as well

So, I'm working on a new script. "Diving deeper into Self Love" and the playlist has evolved into mostly songs from female artists. I have 2 songs by male artists and I am even thinking of replacing those. Should I do an all female playlist or should I include more male artists? I don't want to make anyone feel un-included, everyone needs to work on their self love. What are your thoughts?

Hi there, question: last Session i had a man spacing. I mean he was gone,…left the building. He made me think of an overheated phone… out of use…I'm pretty sure he was in the dmt stage. I know sometimes it can and may take 5 minutes or more for someone to breathe again but this was the first time I found myself getting a little nervous about how long it was taking. I then reminded him to breathe and also softly in his ear but he stayed out. His heart beat from hard to very slow. little blue lips…I thought for a moment that I had killed my brother-in-law🤣 I reminded him to breathe and into his ear too but he stayed away. in the end I gently put a lukewarm washcloth with invigorating oil on his forehead and then he started breathing again. I was sorry to take him out of his proces but it took so long that I acted anyway. He didn't remember anything about this part afterwards... what can I do in the future? how long can/can you let it go? Thank you;-) Btw: hè had an extatic experiance👍🏼

Hello beautiful souls! I would love your opinion on this. I am a yoga teacher and I am practicing different Pranayama techniques, but for the last 7 months that I have found breathwork and I am practicing this kind of breathing, I am totally excited and I see profound changes in my life! Especially after the breathwork journeys.. Oh my God! The realizations that are coming to me are so magnificent and simple, that they just stick in me. So grateful! But, sometimes, the next one or two days after the 1 hour breathwork journey, I noticed that I am feeling really tired. Like sleeping for hours.. It's normal, right? Is anybody else experiencing something like this? Is it the body's mechanism for healing? Thank you! Namaste 🙏

Namaste everyone! I’ve been trying to create my own 9D journeys but I haven’t managed to find the right tools to do it without affecting the sound quality to a point that it just kills the purpose. Has anyone found how to make them sound nice? From what I’ve understood 9D is actually tricky to create but 8D is accessible and I’ve found an online tool that does it: https://audioalter.com/preset/8d-audio as well as a 432 Hz converter (which doesn’t detect the original frequency of the track unfortunately): https://www.conversion-tool.com/432hz/ but combining these really reduce the sound quality… Does anyone knows about other tools that work better? Has anyone done a breathwork journey with someone that has down syndrome? My cousins daughter has been going through a lot lately with losing her dad a few years back. She's been seeking counseling which I'm being told hasn't been very helpful. I'm also a Grief Recovery Method Specialist and she won't even talk to me as she's concerned I would turn around and tell her mom what she shared with me, which I wouldn't as it would be a breach of confidentiality. So, was thinking about suggesting breathwork for her but with being new to this wanted to reach out to this community for input. Thanks!

Week 9 quiz. Seems impassible - has anyone from the January cohort passed it? I can't believe we're almost done learning - I'm going to miss this.

Hi all, what would be the go to app that can guide us to pick the best breathing techniques and maybe journal our breathing sessions?

This is a great start to each day, as well as when I find myself in the afternoon slump/overwhelm Is there a public-facing version of this that I can share with friends and prospective future clients?

I have a question about transformational breathwork. Is it the same work as Judith Kravitz does ? I found this work in France and there are about 4 practicionners. They call them facilitators and They refer to this Judith Kravitz ?
