Hello and welcome. My name is Latoya Belfon — best-selling author, publishing expert, award-winning entrepreneur, and the creator of Boss Writer Academy. I have dedicated the last several years to empowering authors, creatives, and vision-driven entrepreneurs to write with clarity, build with intention, and elevate their stories into brands that create influence, income, and legacy. As the CEO of Labworks Publishing, I have helped over 300 authors across multiple genres. I’ve coached writers from idea to manuscript, guided entrepreneurs into authorship, and supported creatives in building brands grounded in authenticity and purpose. My work in publishing, community leadership, and creative development has been recognized through honours such as Top 100 Black Women to Watch 2023, the CBC Black Changemaker Award, the Woman of Merit Award, and Entrepreneur of the Year 2021. But more than titles, I bring lived experience — resilience, reinvention, and a belief that stories can change lives. I’ve built my career from scratch, navigated obstacles many never see, and learned how to transform setbacks into systems and strategies that now empower others. Boss Writer Academy is the extension of that mission.
