I live in Los Angeles, California, and I'm the founder of Courageous Queens Coaching, where I help women and teen girls build financial confidence, emotional resilience, and self-trust through calm, consistent action. In addition to being a money confidence coach, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW). Writing The Power of Detours taught me one of the greatest lessons of my life: over-functioning is not the same as faithfulness. For years, I believed being strong meant carrying every burden, solving every problem, and making sure everyone else was okay before I took care of myself. My detour showed me that God never asked me to be everyone’s source—only to trust Him as mine. Today, I’ve learned that true leadership isn’t doing it all; it’s knowing when to surrender, receive help, and allow God to work through others. I no longer measure my worth by how much I carry, but by how faithfully I walk in the purpose God has given me.
