🧶 Handcrafted & Creative at Bond Hill Farms
Creative work has always been part of farm life.
Making things with our hands—stitch by stitch, row by row—isn’t about productivity here. It’s about creating something useful, learning a skill slowly, and letting creativity fit into real life.
At Bond Hill Farms, crochet and creative projects are meant to:
- Be simple and approachable
- Fit into short pockets of time
- Create things you can actually use
- Grow confidence one small step at a time
You don’t need to be fast, perfect, or experienced to belong here.
I learned to crochet after I was gifted a knitting board for Christmas on year, around 2010. My first project was a scarf, and I have experimented with small projects since but most recently made a blanket for my daughter. Most days I will crochet at the end of the day, during family time, while we relax together.
This is still a start and stop kind of activity for me, but with the help of crochet markers I can pick up my project quickly with a fast count, as my family needs me of my own focus changes.
Creative work here looks like:
- Starting with basic skills
- Making small, useful items
- Pausing when life gets busy
- Picking projects back up later
Progress counts even when it’s slow.
