Weekly Q&A Coaching Call is happening in 3 days
Niche shift question + feedback on free PDF 🙏
Hey everyone 🤍 I’d love some honest feedback from you all (and Suzanne, obviously). I’ve been sitting with a potential niche shift and want to sense-check it with the Hive before I go any further. Until now, my audience has mainly been beginner yoga teachers, selling sequencing and class inspiration - especially working with the elements - which is my speciality. I've not really had a lot of success with this though - only sold 2 of my 20 hour YACE courses. Lately, though, I’ve been feeling called to widen this to people going through life transitions — things like breakups, moving countries, career changes, identity shifts, etc. This feels very aligned with my own life (I’ve been through a lot of transitions) and with how I actually hold space, not just what I teach. The idea would be to make this my premium offer (1:1 sessions with yoga + ayurvedic practices + guidance) to accompany people through change — for both teachers and non-teachers — rather than positioning it purely as “teacher support.” I spent most of the weekend clarifying this and shaping an offer (with the help of ChatGPT or course), and one question that keeps coming up is: 👉 does this feel too broad as a niche, or does it actually create more clarity than “yoga teachers” in an already saturated space? Alongside this, I’m sharing a free Surya & Chandra Namaskar PDF I’ve created (with videos + playlists included) and would really appreciate feedback: – Does this feel valuable or too basic? – Does it speak more to teachers, students, or both?– Would this make you want to stay in my world or go deeper? I would really appreciate some outside eyes. I’m also planning to bring this into the Wednesday chat if that’s okay. Thank you so much in advance 🤍 this community is helping me more than you know.
📞Group Call Follow Up
Loving listening to the group chat from yesterday! Thanks so much @Susanne Rieker for your response to my question. A lot of what you shared really landed for me, especially around making the transformation feel essential and tied to a clear pain point. You asked me to share my content here, so I’d love to open it up for any first impressions, thoughts, or reflections from anyone in the Hive as well. No pressure to do a deep dive. Even a quick sense of what stands out or what feels unclear would be so helpful. Freebie: The 3-Minute Calm Kit (normally accessed through sign up to my email list which then sends them through an automated nurture sequence) Paid Offer: 7 Days Back to You (sales page) And I do have one follow-up question, which I’d love insight on from you, Susanne, and anyone else who’s navigated this: For teachers with a more blended, embodied/somatic style like mine, how do you strike the balance between narrowing in on a specific pain point so it actually converts, while still communicating the wider value of the practice? Or do you just let the wider value speak for itself? Thanks so much to anyone who shares. I really appreciate this space.
Instagram Guidance ✨
💛 Hey Y'all, I just finished listening to the Instagram Deep Dive. It was really helpful, and I've already begun implementing. Thanks @Susanne Rieker ! @Dana Jarry and @Kamala Rose y'all were both so kind and inspiring and insightful - I really valued the contributions y'all brought. (Also thought it was comical that there was a lot of chat about Winter Solstice - I'm about to celebrate Summer Solstice here in the southern hemisphere with my own offering!). Alright, so to my question (finally!)... My instagram is my personal brand Jamie Carter Yoga. I have recently begun shifting toward my online business, but I still have some in-person offerings of weekly yoga classes and seasonal events. I wonder if it is confusing to have my in-person offerings on this account when I'm trying to have a more global reach with the online offerings. Y'all discussed sharing podcasts/studios/etc accounts with the personal brand... but I'm feeling like my in-person offerings are just "noise" for the global audience I'm going for with my online biz. Am I limiting myself? What do y'all think? Should I think about it differently than I am? Any guidance or thoughts are appreciated 🙏
Youtube Channel
I see Susanne that you are new on Youtube too. I'm wondering how you get around the no ads mid roll ? I have only 65 subscribers and have yoga Nidra videos on my channel and youtube now plays ads on my videos mid way through! its not until i get 1000 subscribers and 4000 views til i can sign up for Youtube partner so I can turn them off. uggg. how are we supposed to gain traction if people can't watch a video without an ad. I understand the ad at the beginning.
Choosing Platform
I'm going through the videos to get started. A question. Would it be better to have the mini course on systeme.io than on my wix website. I did put a course a few years ago on my website but it only sold to a few ppl of course because i just advertised to my local people. I'm just wondering the advantages of these platforms instead of website. Thank you
