Rubbing alcohol on an injury hurts, but that means it’s working.
I’ve learned to realize that the process in quite literally ANYTHING in order to get good at it is like rubbing alcohol on an injury. The process is going to hurt, or more so when starting something out it’ll be a humbling experience knowing to get good at that particular thing you’ll suck at it first. And on top of that it’s difficult to see it through when the journey will be failures on top of failures, it can become discouraging fairly easily and then all of the sudden you’re in your head. It’s why a lot of us go from hobby to hobby :). But in the end, the end result comes with being healed. The same way that sticking to something long enough to get good at it means overcoming all the obstacles of discouragement and failing along the way. The majority of us don’t stick to something long enough to actually have the opportunity to see something in return. Just continue to be you, you’ll know when something just isn’t for you. However, if you know that is what you should be sticking to and that it’s just difficult to see where this’ll all fall into place, remind yourself of all the small wins you’ve obtained along the way. Do whatever it takes for you to see it through. You got this.
