Black History Month rolled around and I kept waiting on my sonโs school to do something.
A Program, A morning announcement.
Anything.
But there was nothing.
Not one thing.
And Iโm not gone lieโit bothered me.
Hispanic Heritage Month was jumping ๐ , but when it came time to celebrate the contributions of people who looked like my childrenโฆ crickets.
BUT
These are MY kids.
If I want them to know their history, then itโs my responsibility to teach it.
So I started creating resources for my own children.
What started at my kitchen table had grown into an entire community.
A community built on enlightenment, knowledge, critical thinking, and truth.
A place where we can learn about the stories that often get skipped over, watered down, ignored, or covered up. A place where parents, educators, and lifelong learners can come together to learn, share, and grow.
Come learn with us. Teach your kiddos. Share what you know. Add to our vault of knowledge.
Because when we know our history, we move different. โ๐พ
