Scarcity = Number Go Up?
One of the biggest reasons I'm ALL IN on bitcoin is because I've already been here before.
I know what happens next.
Spoiler: number goes up, forever.
How do I know?
How can I be SO CERTAIN?
Why am I willing to put 99% of my net worth into it?
Well...
When I was a teenager, I experienced first hand what happens when a scarce, finite asset enters an economy.
Not in real life, but online.
In an MMORPG called RuneScape.
With an in game item called Party Hats.
I got my first party hat for a few hundred thousand gold coins... It soon balooned to hundreds of millions gold coins...
But why?
Same reason bitcoin will do the same.
When infinite money chases a finite asset, the finite asset goes up in value, and the money goes down.
To see what happens (step by step) to the price of something scarce in an economy where the money doesn't stop getting printed, here's a great video worth watching every minute of - except for the stupidly long ad at 2:22 😆
Fascinating stuff.
Really puts things into perspective...
