When eligible recordings generate revenue through streaming services, your distributor may collect and pay your share according to your agreement. But remember, streams don't automatically mean big money! 🎼 2️⃣ SONGWRITING AND PUBLISHING ROYALTIES These relate to the musical composition—the lyrics and music. They can be finished songs, unreleased songs, or projects you're still developing. STEP 2 — GIVE EACH SONG A STATUS 🎵 Place each song into one of these categories: 🟢 READY: The song is complete and ready for the next stage. 🟡 NEEDS WORK: The song needs improvements before moving forward. 🔴 UNFINISHED: The song still needs lyrics, vocals, arrangements, or other creative work.
