Welcome!
Welcome, and thank you for being here! Hi, I’m Chris Myers, managing director of Big Lever Ventures and chair of Big Lever Institute. I founded this institute because I believe AI is changing what people can accomplish—and who gets the opportunity to accomplish it. What excites me about working with AI is both practical- having a collaborator and thought partner you can work through an idea with, ask questions of, and use to move from “I don’t know how” to “let’s figure this out” and aspirational. I believe we are at the start of an era of unbelievable gains in math, science, medicine, and personal autonomy and health. But access to these possibilities shouldn’t depend on your prior training, education, or network, and especially not on whether you can afford an expensive course. We want more people to have a fair chance at the new economic opportunities AI is creating. We believe practical education can help you turn possibilities into something real—for yourself, your organization, and your community. That’s why our programming is always free. We’re starting with an alpha, and we want you to help shape it. Try the lessons. Tell us what helps, where you get stuck, and what you want to learn next. We welcome your voice as much as your participation. I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to seeing what you do. Sincerely, Chris Myers Chair, Big Lever Institute Inc.

Course Catalog & Student Resources — Start with Your Goal
New to AI? Start AI Basics at lesson 01. No experience or paid AI plan is needed to begin. Choose See more to open the full catalog below. Pick one useful task; you do not need to finish every course. Choose something useful to work on. Our programming is always free; you do not need to complete the whole catalog. Most lessons work with any suitable AI assistant. Two student plugins: help when you want it - Guide Me — your coach, research assistant and thought partner. Bring a question, a lesson, a draft or a problem; ask for explanations and help thinking it through. - Your Learning Path — share your goals, experience and interests to build a personalized lesson plan. Save the plan and bring its handoff to Guide Me if useful. Open Your Big Lever AI Guides — setup and platform options. Choose ChatGPT or Claude using that lesson’s current setup instructions; Gemini is experimental. Access depends on your provider, plan and account settings. You can use the rest of our lessons with another suitable assistant. Installed copies do not automatically update, and we cannot see your private chats. For educators and community leaders Choose the package that fits your teaching: - Big Lever Institute Curriculum for Educators — practical AI lessons, exercises, teaching resources and complete examples. Use or adapt the lessons without installing our guides. Teaching-use license. - Big Lever Institute AI Guide Kit for Educators — Guide Me, Your Learning Path, their instructions and a recipe for adapting both guides to your own teaching material, using one shared curriculum. Teaching-use license · Current Guide Kit release

Challenge 1 — Your first useful result
What is one thing AI can help you get done that would make your day easier? Choose one small, real task: make an email clearer, turn rough notes into a plan, or understand something that has you stuck. Use any suitable AI assistant. A paid plan is not required to begin. New to AI? Start with AI Basics → 03 — Get Your First Useful Result: https://www.skool.com/big-lever-institute-1562/classroom/8bb8fee4?md=8a04ee9ed4684afe8ac05e09523f47a9 1. Tell the assistant what you want to accomplish and give it the facts it needs. If you don’t know how to start, say: “Help me work through this. Ask me one question at a time so we can figure out what I need.” 2. Read the response. Check its facts against your own information and decide what needs to change. Ask for a revision if needed, then check important changes again. 3. Keep the useful result in your own document or workspace. An assistant saying “saved” is not proof that a file exists. If you’d like to share, reply here with: • I was trying to… • AI helped me… • I checked or changed… • My next step is… A few sentences are enough. You can describe the result without uploading it, use a fictional example, or do the challenge privately. Leave out personal, client or confidential information. Sharing is optional and does not automatically award points. If you get stuck, tell us which step was unclear and what you tried. If someone else shares, offer one specific, useful suggestion or explain what you learned from their approach. There’s no deadline to catch up and no need to produce something impressive—just something useful.

Our 30-day community pilot — learn, share, help
Learn something useful. Share what helps. Help someone else forward. For the next 30 days, we’re trying a simple way to celebrate what members accomplish with AI and how we help each other. Our pilot runs October 17–November 15, 2026. You’ll see new names on the leaderboard, from Explorer to Big Lever Legend. Skool awards one point when someone likes your post, comment or reply. Your level recognizes community participation; it is not a grade, credential or measure of AI expertise. Completing a lesson does not automatically earn points. Every available lesson stays free and open to every member, at every level. Learning quietly is welcome. There is no posting requirement, and the Coming Soon courses remain future work. Try a useful task, check the result, and share something another learner could use if you want to. Like contributions you genuinely find helpful. Please avoid requests to trade likes or posts made just to collect points. Our first challenge is First useful result. Open Challenge 1 in Share Your Work: https://www.skool.com/big-lever-institute-1562/challenge-1-your-first-useful-result We’ll also look for examples of thoughtful improvement and helpful replies to recognize in a community spotlight, with the member’s permission. Recognition won’t depend only on the highest point total. This is an experiment. We’ll judge it by useful work, helpful conversations and what you tell us—not just likes. Tell us in the comments whether it helps you take a next step, or choose Email lesson feedback at the end of any classroom lesson. Please leave out private information. Glad you’re here. Let’s see what we can make possible together.
