Moving
Hey Bible Nerds—heads up. I’m transitioning our content from Skool to Buy Me a Coffee. This doesn’t change the heart of what we do, just the container. My goal is to make this space easier to access, easier to sustain, and more fun to actually use. More soon. Appreciate you all.

Favorite character
Who is your favorite character in the Bible? Why? I fluctuate between Jonah and Paul. Jonah, because the dude was called by God and had major issues. Similarly, Paul saw the implications of Jesus and still wasn’t the nicest guy.

Lesson 2 Sexual Ethics
I find it interesting and sad that sexuality has become weaponized rather than integrated with spirituality. Too often I hear women and men fall victim to hypersexualization, or are repressed until their faith disintegrates. Sex becomes sidelined to their being, their bodies and spirits are separated. How do we integrate spirituality into our lives healthily?

Sexual Ethics in the bible
- Where do you feel shame, and what would it mean to rewrite that story with God as co-author? I feel shame most with my weight. Too often, my weight was used as a disciplining tool to take care of myself. However, later in life, I learned I used that shame to motivate me "I'll prove them wrong". That backfired. I identity in Christ issues, I thought God's love was conditional, and finally when I got married, I had all sorts of body/emotional issues. I think purity culture does this (intentionally/unintentionally): in order to temper sexuality (a gift from God) it says that sex/sexuality is dirty... therefore to want it means we are dirty. What do you think?
