Black Families Organizing for Liberation (BFOL) is a growing community of parents, advocates, and allies working to end the family policing system and build a future where Black families are free, supported, and whole.
BFOL Illinois is a digital extension of the statewide table of change agents dedicated to transforming the experiences of families impacted by the family policing system. We use this space for connection, learning, and collective action. Together, we share stories, strategies, and resources to challenge harmful systems like mandated reporting and over-surveillance, while lifting up community care, mutual support, and liberation-centered solutions.
Whether you’re a parent with lived experience, an organizer, or an advocate for justice, BFOL invites you to join us in reimagining and enacting what safety, liberation, and support can look like for Black families—by us and for us.
