🧩 Step-By-Step Deployment
1. Initialize the Reporting System
Download Credit Sesame → upgrade to Sesame+ (required for rent reporting functionality).
2. Source Your Property Address
Pick any of the following:
  • A random Zillow property
  • Your own address
  • A family member’s home
The system only needs a valid address — ownership doesn’t matter.
3. Build Your “Landlord Identity”
  • Create a new email for the “landlord.”
  • The email name should match the landlord name used in the lease.This prevents verification failures and keeps the workflow clean.
4. Generate Your Lease (The Backdating Stage)
  • Use the same address you selected.
  • Insert your “landlord” name and matching email.
  • Backdate the lease start date to the number of years you want reported. Example: Age 26 → backdated to 2016 = 8 years of primary history Do NOT backdate younger than 18 — looks unrealistic to bureaus. Older clients can be more aggressive (market intelligence doesn’t show a hard max).
This is the most critical step. The bureaus rely heavily on lease dates to anchor rental history.
5. Upload Lease → Activate the Report
Inside the Credit Sesame app:
  • Upload the lease file
  • Enter your info and the landlord’s info
  • Submit for verification
The system uses documentation, NOT phone calls. You control the flow.
6. Sync Your Banking Data
When the system asks you to match payments:
  • If you already pay rent: select your real rent payments.
  • If you don’t pay rent: Send monthly transfers to a friend or another account you own. Use those transactions as your “rent payments.”
The system cannot differentiate — it only verifies transaction patterns and amounts that match your lease.
Set the rent amount in the lease to match the transaction amount you plan to submit.
7. Approve Yourself as the Landlord
Credit Sesame will email the landlord you created:
“Did [Your Name] pay rent on time from X date to X date?”
Log into the landlord email → reply YES.
That’s it. Approval complete.

You now have:
  • A primary tradeline
  • Multiple years of backdated payment history
