Looking for Feedback Pt. 2
For my almost 1-year-old GSP, I had a few questions based on this session:
- When she locks up on point and is right on top of the bird, is there any benefit to picking her up and moving her back?
- When flushing the birds, am I doing a disservice by walking straight to the bush she’s pointing at and kicking to flush the bird? Should I kick around the area first before going to where the bird is planted?
- When flushing the bird, should I avoid kicking it up altogether and instead reach into the bush by hand?
- Any other feedback or pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated. I’m always looking to improve my skills and deepen my understanding of the art of bird dog training.
