Howdy folks, and welcome to the class where we face the end of the world—together, and preferably with snacks. This course is all about Collapsology: the study of how industrial societies wobble, crumble, and reinvent themselves. Don’t worry, we’re not here to spread doom and gloom (though we’ll definitely meet some of that along the way). Instead, think of this as a crash course in understanding why things fall apart, what humans do next, and how we can keep our sense of humor even when the Wi-Fi goes out. We’ll explore history, science, and some very human stories of resilience. Along the way, you’ll get to share your own ideas, questions, and maybe even survival tips—though please note this is an academic class, not a “how to wrestle bears for dinner” workshop.
