If you’re like me, and struggle to sleep at night due to various reasons mainly stemming from mental health issues. I’ve put together a few tips, along with tips from my doctors to help sleep at night, please feel free to share any of yours! 1) Screen Time- No screens 30-60 minutes before bed. 2) Journal- journaling will help naturally calm you down and give you something to focus on besides your phone, TV, or computer. 3) Stay consistent with your schedule- I know life is crazy and schedules sometimes get busy, but when it comes to sleep try to go to bed the same time every night. 4) Environment- try to minimize distractions as much as you can while you’re in the “cool” down phase. Also try to keep your room cooler than the rest of the house. Your body and mind allow you to fall into a deeper sleep with cooler temps, even if you are wrapped in a blanket it still makes a huge difference. 5) Melatonin, Sleep Aid, or Meditation- take whatever sleep aid you can about the same time you start journaling so by the time you’re done writing the sleep aid should kick in.
Who would be interested in possibly doing line? Dancing zoom calls to learn. Dances? Since line dancing is considered a form of aerobics and aerobics is considered a form of exercise which produces endorphins which helps with depression and anxiety and it doesn’t feel like exercise I feel like would be beneficial as well as getting people ready for either a Nashville trip or a Texas trip since a honky-tonk Would be on the itinerary for sure and I would want people to feel included
Maybe we could do one for men and one for ladies? I NEED accountability or else I’m toast. I’ll literally just work or sit on my butt. I’m a morning workout person. I just need to hit it hard for the next few months and hopefully make it a habit. Who’s down?!
Hey everyone we now have a discord for the line dancing lessons!! I’m going to make a questionnaire for when we can do our first session!! I’m also taking requests on any line dances on Tik tok or at your local honky tonk you’d love to learn! Hope to see you lovelies there 💞💞 Reminder: please let me know when is good for everyone for our first session! Follow the link below and let me know when works for everyone https://whenisgood.net/wtsh5hs
Honestly, this is the worst day in a while. Wasn’t allowed to go to Thanksgiving not allowed to go to Christmas and people wonder why depression and mental health is so bad because you get treated like crap then you get told you’re loved and wanted but it goes back to treating you like crap
Been going through a lot the past couple months. I lost my job in the beginning of August and have been unemployed since. Feel depressed a lot lately and could use some new friends. It’s been kickings me in the back it feels like.
The holidays is sometimes stressful and unfortunately is a higher rate for suicide and mental crisis . Hopefully this article will help some https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/life-without-anxiety/201212/10-tips-surviving-the-holidays?amp
Lately i feel i can’t catch a break, between my truck throwing issue after issue, to My family being less and less welcoming. I want to hear some good things happening from everyone so i know there’s at least a little good in the world. It might make my world a little less dark
As many of you know, I lost my mother who was more like my best friend earlier this year completely unexpectedly due to a heart attack. A few months later my husband and I moved 800+ miles away leaving all my family back in MA. Thanksgiving will be the first major holiday without my family and I just feel like I’m not being hit with the amount of grief I thought I would have this week. I am sad that I don’t get to spend this holiday with family due to work schedules and honestly the cost to travel, but I kinda expected my anxiety to be worse than it is. Maybe I’m just rambling but has anyone ever felt this this? Like they expected to react to something worse than they actually did once it happened?
Use this thread to post some gym time, quality outdoor time, or anything that gets your heart rate up. Your physical health is directly related to your mental health so let’s encourage each other to be the best we can be and win everyday.
I wanna create a thread of self care days maybe like grwm staurdays or Self Care Tuesdays. A thread to dedicate ourselves of self love even. I think it's an idea that we are taking care of ourselves and making sure we are doing well for ourselves mentally and physically. Us humans need to take the time and reanalyze taking care of ourselves as priority. As myself who has struggled with self love and care in the past (still am). I just think maybe you guys can benefit too and knowing how to take care ourselves and maybe shoot out tips of clearer skin or meditations etc.
