If you’re like me, and struggle to sleep at night due to various reasons mainly stemming from mental health issues. I’ve put together a few tips, along with tips from my doctors to help sleep at night, please feel free to share any of yours! 1) Screen Time- No screens 30-60 minutes before bed. 2) Journal- journaling will help naturally calm you down and give you something to focus on besides your phone, TV, or computer. 3) Stay consistent with your schedule- I know life is crazy and schedules sometimes get busy, but when it comes to sleep try to go to bed the same time every night. 4) Environment- try to minimize distractions as much as you can while you’re in the “cool” down phase. Also try to keep your room cooler than the rest of the house. Your body and mind allow you to fall into a deeper sleep with cooler temps, even if you are wrapped in a blanket it still makes a huge difference. 5) Melatonin, Sleep Aid, or Meditation- take whatever sleep aid you can about the same time you start journaling so by the time you’re done writing the sleep aid should kick in.
