Why Learn from Cacti
We live in a strange age.
Never before have we possessed so many tools to make life easier, and yet seldom have we felt so tired. We have immediate access to information, but we struggle to concentrate. We are hyperconnected, and yet often profoundly alone. Constant productivity is demanded of us, permanent availability, and an emotional velocity that few can sustain without breaking inside. Contemporary culture prizes the immediate: rapid success, the instant answer, urgent gratification, constant visibility. Everything seems designed to push us outward: more noise, more comparison, more urgency, more exposure. And yet, nearly everything important in life happens slowly.
