Now is often the right time.
Procrastination is the single biggest killer of potential— Not lack of skills, resources, or opportunities, but procrastination. This morning I was reminded of Mel Robbins’ “5-Second Rule,” which means that when you feel the call to take action—but you’re scared or anxious—you count down 5…4…3…2…1, then you do it. It’ll feel messy, but it’ll feel empowering, because action is the only way to tackle fear. Imagine this: what if there’s never a “perfect” time to do the thing you’re procrastinating? If “perfect” never comes, then now is the best time. Taking action will never set you back, but not taking action guarantees you’ll never move forward.
