Hi everyone, I have a question for those of you who have been teaching for a while. I’m slowly coming out of my shell as a new yoga teacher, and something has been challenging for me. Beyond the physical practice and the space I hold, I sometimes struggle with feeling a sense of “hypocrisy” in my words.
On a personal level, I’m going through a moment where letting go and surrendering feels really hard. That’s just one example, but life always brings different situations where we’re still learning, still stumbling, still integrating the teachings. Even though I understand the philosophy and the texts as a student, I don’t always feel like I’m embodying them all perfectly.
So I’m curious: How do you handle this as teachers?
What do you do when you’re guiding students through concepts that you yourself are still working on?
How do you talk about yoga philosophy with integrity while you’re still navigating those lessons in your own life?
Thank you!
