Electron Transport Chain (TCP)
Definition: A series of protein complexes that transfer protons and electrons received from the citric acid cycle through a series of reactions to create adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
Higher oxygen thresholds carry more protons and electrons to create energy. The greater the person's cardiorespiratory is the more ATP and ability to deliver oxygen to cells.
