START HERE
I’m so glad you’re here. I created this community for photographers who want to learn, grow, connect, and become more confident behind the camera—without feeling intimidated or like you have to know everything already. Whether you just purchased your first camera, you’re trying to finally get out of Auto Mode, or you’ve been shooting for a while and want to improve, there’s a place for you here. HERE’S HOW TO GET STARTED: 1. Head over to Introduce Yourself and tell us who you are, what camera you use, and what you want to improve. 2. Check out Camera Settings Help, Lighting Help, Editing & Photoshop, and Gear Talk when you have questions. 3. Participate in our Weekly Challenges. The best way to become a better photographer is to actually pick up your camera and shoot. 4. Share your work in Share Your Photos. Don’t wait until you think your work is “good enough.” We’re here to grow together. 5. Have a question for me? Drop it in Ask Germaine. 6. Most importantly, PARTICIPATE. Ask questions. Post your photos. Try the challenges. Celebrate your progress. Help another photographer when you can. You don’t need the newest camera. You don’t need the most expensive lens. And you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to learn. Welcome to The Camera Confidence Club. Let’s get better together.

POST A PIC!
Show us your favorite photo you've taken this week. Tell us what you love about it. The photo can be edited or not, It could have been taken with a smartphone, camera, iPad, etc. Remember, photography is about the art and not about how or what it was taken. I took this photo over the weekend for a homecoming client. Even thought her hand was cut off due to the bushes being used as the foreground section of the image, I like how the red pops out and provides color.

POST A PIC!
What Are You Shooting With?
Post a pic of your "go-to" camera and lens! Tell us what you like about the setup! This is a "go-to_ setup for me Sony A7RIII with the Samyang 135mm f1.8 The A7RIII is still a great, all-around camera. The Samyang 135mm was a purchase that I made through research without trial. This was one of the BEST purchases that I have made in terms of lenses. It's clean, crisp, fast, and sharp. Oh, and it was also half the price of the Sigma Art 135mm f/1.4.
