Don’t Let Your Students Know More Than You !
This new generation of stylist are a different breed. They feel they know everything and it’s difficult to tell them anything, unless they think you know more than them. They will fight boldly to defend their argument if you as the educator are not confident in how to teach them the why behind the what’s in a manner that silences and make their argument weak! (HUSH)! Most of them spend countless hours on social media, Google and listening to others that they deem credible to give them information. The information that they’re getting majority of the time comes from a source that they fell they know, like and trust. Regardless if the information is inaccurate, they believe it because of the respect and honor they have for their trusted source.
So my question to you is…
HOW ARE YOU POSITIONING YOURSELF AS AN AUTHORITATIVE FIGURE TO YOUR STUDENTS AND BECOMINGTHEIR TRUSTED SOURCE?
