I am 36 years old. I’m an Army combat veteran, former AF aircraft mechanic, Journeyman Electrician, TN State licensed Electrician, volunteer firefighter, part time motorcycle mechanic, and have been working for myself in construction for 7 years now. I also have a close friend that happens to be a brilliant Electrician as well and he may be making some guest appearances from time to time. I intend to impart our combined knowledge of residential and commercial electrical from over the last 12+ years to those of you either trying to get into the trades actively or maybe you just want to learn to do your own DIY around the house to save some costly billing. Want to branch out and start working for yourself? We can go over basics of running your own electrical show including estimating, insurance requirements, staffing, etc. I have extensive code knowledge, field knowledge, real world experience with clients and contractors, as well as former electrical theory/code instructing experience. I look forward to seeing what comes of this community. Here’s a brief look at what the “curriculum” would look like: Most likely live classes 1-2 nights/week I like hands on and interactive so I hope that suits you as well. -Electrical theory -Residential code -Commercial code -Conduit bending -Underground/overhead services -Troubleshooting -DC power -Business management -Resources Let’s take a quick poll to break the ice. Choose the reason that BEST states why you want to learn the electrical trade.
