🏸 Exclusive Early Access – Deceptive Backhand Lift (Forecourt)
I’m sharing this video here first, before it goes public on YouTube.
Most players try to play a deceptive backhand lift from the forecourt —
but in reality, their preparation already gives everything away.
👉 The biggest mistake I see:
The racket is too far from the shuttle before contact, so the lift no longer looks like a net shot.
In this video, I break down:
  • the key deception principle (making your lift preparation identical to a net shot)
  • 3 simple progression drills I use with players
  • why deception is built before the hit, not during it
This is one method, not a magic solution — it won’t work for everyone, but it can be a great tool if you struggle with forecourt backhand deception.

Let me know in the comments:
  • Does this shot feel natural to you?
  • Or is forecourt backhand still one of your weak points?
YouTube release coming soon đź‘€
