My first forge was a hole in the dirt powered by my sister’s hairdryer (she was thrilled). My first “blade” was a half-melted railroad spike—and I was absurdly proud of it.
I’ve been obsessed with making ever since: blades, axes, tools, pipes, spoons— anything that belongs in Middle-earth.
