Couch climbing is a skill, but I use it as a test component. Climbing up is an indicator of a great core, great push off, great pull - if your baby is doing it right. If the baby is climbing through a split, that is a red flag for me of fundamental weaknesses.

Lost teaching opportunities with pastel colors: When you buy a bright primary colored ring stacker instead of the modern pastel colored one you loose the colors as teaching tool. Its a multi entertainment system in one. And that is why I would not buy it. It is overwhelming to a baby and thus teaches very little.
