Firebase Studio: Disappoinment

Just wanted to share my thoughts and experience with Firebase Studio. I have been wanting to try the platforms since I was released, but I wanted to have something decent to build.

Well today was the day, and let me tell you it was an absolute disappointment.

Out of the first shoot prompt, the application will give you something bad, not, the next. While other applications don't really need much to put together a nice frontend, Firebase seems to be expecting you to specify everything exactly as you want it, and unfortunately, most of the users of these platforms, they don't know how to technically explain what they want. They just throw a prompt and start vibing from there.

Was Google too ambitious trying to release a platform to compete with everyone at once and not knowing exactly what to fight with? It looks like it.

Right now, this platform is unusable for me. I don't car if it's free, it is just SO BAD.

I have no doubts that Google will get up to speed quickly and in few months we will see a totally different product, competing with Lovable, Replit and Cursor, but right now is not even close to any of them.
