The breakdown
Welcome to Built, Not Guessed Garage This isn’t a hype group. It’s not a flex page. It’s not a place to show off parts you bought or opinions you borrowed. This group exists for one reason: building cars that actually work—now, later, and under stress. If you’re here, you probably already know this uncomfortable truth: Most “custom” cars aren’t engineered. They’re hoped for. They run, until they don’t. They look good, until they’re driven. And when something fails, nobody can explain why. That’s not craft. That’s gambling. Built, Not Guessed means every bracket, weld, angle, wire, and decision has a reason behind it. Not superstition. Not forum lore. Not “it worked on my buddy’s car.” Built to last. Not just to get by. Here’s how this place works: I’ll break down real fabrication problems and real-world solutions—what worked, what didn’t, and why. Members are encouraged to ask questions, share work, and challenge ideas—but receipts matter. If you don’t know, say you don’t know. That’s how skill is built instead of faked. What we don’t do here: – Hack fixes dressed up as clever – Unsafe shortcuts – Ego contests – Vibes-based engineering You don’t need to be a master fabricator to belong here. You do need to care about doing it right. If that resonates, you’re in the right garage. If it doesn’t, there are plenty of louder places on the internet. Pick a build. Ask a question. Post your work. Let’s build things we don’t have to apologize for later.
