AI Regulation in the US
Three dates tell the whole story of AI regulation in America. May 2024: Colorado signs the first real state AI law. May 2026: the governor signs SB 189 and removes its core requirements. January 2027: the new date for whatever is left. A law with teeth became disclosure paperwork before a single company had to comply.
