It also writes its own design system as it goes, tokenising colours, spacing, and type so everything stays consistent across screens. Drop an existing codebase in and it designs in the style you already ship. My honest take. Claude Design isn't replacing design teams. It's replacing the reason solo founders hire them in the first place. The real value isn't the design. It's the workflow. Claude Design for visuals, Claude Code for the logic, ship it live. Step 3, Effort Level: The dial most people never touch. Dialling it right is what makes 4.7 feel fast. Step 4, Adaptive Thinking: Let Claude decide when to think hard and when to move. You stop paying for thinking tokens on trivial tasks. Step 5, Verification Loops: Self-checks before Claude tells you it's done. This is the biggest quality jump of the seven. Step 6, Recaps: End-of-turn summaries that actually save context instead of wasting it. Step 7, The Tokenizer Change: 4.7 changed how prompts are tokenised. Old 4.6 prompts silently break. Claude Code can now run without you. Anthropic just shipped Routines, a new feature that lets you schedule AI agents to run on their cloud infrastructure on a timer, via API call, or triggered by GitHub events like PRs and CI failures. That means you can set Claude to review code every night, pull analytics every Monday morning, or respond to PRs automatically, all without your machine being on. It connects to your existing MCP servers, so anything Claude can do locally, it can now do remotely on a schedule.

Claude Code's built-in web fetch is useless on JavaScript-heavy sites and anything with anti-bot protection. SimilarWeb? Blocked. Yellow Pages? 403 error. Amazon product pages? 12,000 lines of HTML that choke the context window. In this video, I set up Firecrawl inside Claude Code and test it side-by-side against the standard web fetch on real sites. The results aren't even close. Firecrawl got past SimilarWeb's blocks and pulled a full competitive analysis for Amazon. It bypassed Yellow Pages' bot protection and returned 15 electricians with phone numbers, years in business, and services offered. Standard web fetch failed on both.
