Cowork basically turns Claude into a hands on helper that can work directly inside a folder on your Mac, not just chat with you.

Here are the bits that stood out to me:

• great for non coders since it takes the Claude Code vibe and makes it friendly for everyday work

• can organize files, draft docs, clean up screenshots, build spreadsheets and more

• supports connectors so you can hook in external data sources

• supports new skills for creating documents and presentations

• works with Claude in Chrome for browser based tasks

• parallel tasking so you can queue up work instead of babysitting chat threads

• strong control settings to choose exactly what Claude can see or touch

• early preview so features and safety guardrails will keep evolving
