Claude Finds Fatal Flaws in Firefox

You guys aren’t going to believe how fast AI is changing the world of cybersecurity.

I just read about a massive partnership between Anthropic and Mozilla where Claude 4.6 was used to hunt down security flaws in the Firefox browser.

Claude discovered 22 unique vulnerabilities in just two weeks of testing.
Mozilla classified 14 of those as high severity issues.
Those 14 bugs accounted for nearly 20% of all high severity Firefox flaws found in 2025.
The AI scanned almost 6,000 files and even helped write the code to fix the problems.
It took only 20 minutes for the model to find its first major memory vulnerability.
Finding these bugs with AI was significantly cheaper and faster than trying to exploit them.

This is a huge win for the good guys because it shows we can use automation to patch software before hackers even get a chance to look at it.
