Claude Finds Fatal Flaws in Firefox
You guys aren’t going to believe how fast AI is changing the world of cybersecurity.
I just read about a massive partnership between Anthropic and Mozilla where Claude 4.6 was used to hunt down security flaws in the Firefox browser.
  • Claude discovered 22 unique vulnerabilities in just two weeks of testing.
  • Mozilla classified 14 of those as high severity issues.
  • Those 14 bugs accounted for nearly 20% of all high severity Firefox flaws found in 2025.
  • The AI scanned almost 6,000 files and even helped write the code to fix the problems.
  • It took only 20 minutes for the model to find its first major memory vulnerability.
  • Finding these bugs with AI was significantly cheaper and faster than trying to exploit them.
This is a huge win for the good guys because it shows we can use automation to patch software before hackers even get a chance to look at it.
