I’m an autism coach and a mother on the journey with Autism for over 18yrs,I support parents and caregivers of autistic individuals who are doing their best—but still feel overwhelmed, unsure, or alone. This space is about helping you understand your child more deeply, respond with confidence, and create a calmer, more connected home. You don’t have to have all the answers here—we figure them out together, step by step.

Autistically Speaking is a space created especially for parents and caregivers who want to better understand and support the autistic people in their lives. As a certified autism coach—and an autism mom to my son, who is now almost 21—I bring both professional guidance and lived experience to this work. In a nutshell, building this community is very personal to us! My son was diagnosed at just 18 months old, and our journey has not been easy. We’ve navigated the challenges of him being nonverbal, working through aggressive behaviors, and understanding his stimming and sensory needs. There were times that felt overwhelming, isolating, and uncertain—but those experiences also shaped the knowledge, patience, and perspective I now share with others. I know firsthand how many questions come up, how heavy things can feel, and how much you want to do right by your child. This space is here to meet you there—without judgment. Autistically Speaking is grounded in respect for neurodiversity and a deep belief that connection, understanding, and the right support can make all the difference. Here, you’ll find honest conversations, practical tools, non-clinical advice and real-life strategies to help you feel more confident in how you support your child. This isn’t about changing who they are—it’s about understanding them, supporting them, and helping them thrive in a world that doesn’t always make it easy, but having the knowledge , support and community leads you to be the best advocate to your AUSOME child/children.
