Monday Myth
"If you were really secure, other people's opinions wouldn't affect you." That's the myth. And it's costing people their identity every single day. The truth is — opinions matter. Reputation is real. And feeling the sting of negative feedback is completely normal. The mistake isn't feeling it. The mistake is changing who you are because of it.

Monday Myth
The Emotional Edge — A New Name. The Same Mission. Deeper Than Ever.
I have an announcement for a significant change. This community is getting a new name. We are now The Emotional Edge. Emotional wellness for people who give everything and deserve the same in return. Here's why this matters and why now. "The PACT" was always the framework — the method we use to co-create authentic relationships. That doesn't change. The PACT is still the foundation of everything we do here. But as this community has grown, and as I've gotten clearer on who I'm here to serve and why, the name needed to reflect the fullness of what we're actually building together. This isn't just about relationships. It's about showing up as your full self — without fear of shame, without shrinking, without burning out — in every area of your life. Personal. Professional. Internal. That takes emotional wellness. That takes emotional intelligence. And when you develop both, you gain an edge most people never find. The Emotional Edge is for the givers. The introverts. The empaths. The ones who've spent their whole lives showing up for everyone else and are finally ready to build something that shows up for them too. You're already in the right place. Now the name finally matches what we're doing here. More is coming. Stay close. — Rico

You can choose your attitude (even on a bad day)
Going out on a limb here, I'm willing to bet you are generally a positive person. But sometimes we have bad moments or bad days. How can we stay positive during those moments? The generalized practice of gratitude may not be enough. In this video I share what has worked for me. You'll find either validation for how you stay positive OR New tools to add to your toolbox for controlling your attitude regardless of the environment around you. https://youtu.be/a3tYzPOVLzg

Gratitude is a choice
Your can either 1. Focus of what’s good and the source of it. 2. Focus on problems and why you hate them. One attracts positive energy and the people you want. The other attracts negative energy and people who like to complain. Which one will you choose today?

Gratitude is a choice
The opposite of confidence isn't insecurity. It's shame.
We shrink from expressing what we genuinely enjoy because we fear judgment. We hesitate to try because we doubt the outcome—as if certainty were ever promised. We carry guilt from past mistakes and punish ourselves by dimming instead of shining. But here's the truth: We can never be certain of an outcome. We can only be certain of our effort. And effort—win or lose—always yields something valuable: a life experience, a story worth telling, a lesson worth learning. Confidence isn't knowing you'll succeed. It's knowing you'll be fine either way. Shed the shame of what you enjoy. Release the guilt from what you've done. Stop requiring certainty before you move. Try anyway. Fail anyway. Live anyway. That's confidence.
