Mother, Mental Health Therapist, and Attachment-Informed Learner
Hello everyone! I’m so happy to be part of this community. I’m a mother of three and a mental health therapist based in North Dakota. My work is trauma-informed, and I am currently deepening my understanding of attachment, the nervous system, and the mind-body connection. I support clients in understanding how trauma may influence their emotions, relationships, behaviors, and physical responses. Together, we explore how the nervous system responds to past experiences, how the body may continue to carry those experiences, and why certain patterns can feel difficult to change. My goal is to help people understand themselves with greater compassion rather than judgment. I am also a new mother to a one-month-old baby, and I am intentionally applying what I am learning about attachment to build a strong foundation of safety, connection, responsiveness, and secure attachment during these early months. As an African immigrant raising children in the United States, I also bring personal experiences related to culture, parenting, identity, and adapting to a different environment. I’m here to learn, connect, engage in meaningful conversations, and share both my professional knowledge and lived experience. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Durable Human Skills : Self Management
Most mental health programs teach coping skills. We teach something more foundational. 🔑 Self-management — real self-management — starts with a regulated nervous system. And for most of us, no one ever taught us how to get there. This Mental Health Month, we're breaking down why self-regulation is a durable human skill, not a fixed trait, and what it looks like to build it in the people we care about most — children and the adults who walk alongside them. Because when adults are regulated, children feel it. Full stop. Swipe through to see how it works. ➡️

Children's Mental Health Day
Today is Children's Mental Health Day — and it starts earlier than most people think. Long before a child can name their emotions, they're learning whether the world is safe, whether their needs will be met, and whether the people they love will show up. That's attachment. And it shapes everything — how they regulate, relate, and move through the world. The good news? It's never too early (or too late) to build a more secure foundation.
