How many times has a client asked you to fix the tv, connect something to the internet, connect a printer, show them how to get to photos on their phone, or change the batteries in their hearing aids ? You feel dread well up as you don’t know how to so you tell them you can’t and see the disappointment on their face … Well in this community course we aim to take away that dread, that feeling of letting your client down. And replace it with confidence, knowledge and basic skills to assist your clients with connectivity and inclusiveness. Step one is to change your mindset , from defeatism or denial to positivity and can do. With the information here, soon you will be installing apps, discovering games and negotiating new assistive systems WITH your clients to empower both their’s and your lives

I encourage members to share anecdotal stories here with their experiences in integrating, sharing, teaching, learning and sometimes failing at tech in the sector. Don;t be afraid to share those emotional wins or those funny or ironic fails as we all have them and learning from failure is sometimes the best way to advance
