Welcome to Ask a Therapist I’m really glad you’re here. I’m Jessica — a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with experience across trauma, anxiety, relationships, neurodivergence, life transitions, and navigating systems that often don’t feel built for humans. This community exists to offer general mental health education, ask-a-therapist style questions, and insight into coping skills, patterns, and tools from a grounded, trauma-informed perspective. This is not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis care — but it is a supportive, informed space to ask questions you might not know where else to bring. What this space is This is a place to ask thoughtful questions about mental health, emotions, relationships, burnout, boundaries, trauma, and self-regulation. The tone is educational, reflective, and practical, rooted in compassion, consent, and inclusivity. What this space is not This space does not provide individual therapy, diagnosis, or emergency support. It is not a replacement for working with a therapist, and it is not a place for graphic details, diagnosing others, or giving advice to other members. I respond to questions from a professional and ethical lens while keeping the conversation accessible and human. How to use this community You are welcome to post questions at any time, respond to prompts when they are shared, or simply read and learn quietly. Participation is always optional. Please avoid sharing identifying details about yourself or others.
