How I have managed to interview Andy Krainak?
Andy is the right hand of Gary Vee, he’s behind the Gary Vee brand since the beginning. Also lead Gary to implement a successful content strategy making him to stand out. The story start here: In my discovery to grow in social media, I have started to DMs people who knew more than me about social media and on how I could improve. As always it’s hard to get free advice from people however I didn’t give up. As the time I was really into watching a lots of content from Gary Vee, so I have decided to reach out to someone who was in his team. After seeing Andy in the videos with Gary and after seeing him popping up on his profile, I have decided to reach out to him. I sent Dm on Ig asking about advice and how was his view in regards to social media content and how to grow on TikTok. As the convo on the dms was really interesting he decided to share his responses on his Ig story which generate interest from his followers about us discussing the topic. Which lead me to asking him to jump on a call with me of 1hr and 30m. This happen 4 years ago. I couple of weeks ago I have decided to share the interview and squeeze the call in small nuggets for you to grasp as much advice as possible. A couple of lesson I have learn here: 1 if you don’t ask you don’t get. 2 be curious if don’t know something ask - people are nice and kind. 3 if you get the opportunity to grab someone attention, don’t be afraid to ask silly question

I have started posting on TikTok because I wanted to land a job in marketing. I wanted to show myself that I could do it, because if you can do it for yourself, you can do it for others. The beginning was extremely challenging for me; it was hard to show myself on camera, and my English was poor, but I wanted to try anyway. Not much traction at the beginning, actually nothing, a couple of views, but not much. I thought it would be easy; I could see people going viral so quickly, but I couldn't make it. I tried sharing my journey, but it didn't work. I also tried to post about what I knew about marketing, but I got nothing. I tried to share news about the marketing landscape, but it had no traction; literally, my video couldn't perform at all. One day, after watching a video on YouTube about Joe Rogan, I decided to cut that video and add a unique HOOK. The HOOK was "mindblowing". So, I connect my new HOOK with the video I found, which features a clip of Joe Rogan. After a couple of hours, I could see that my video was gaining a lot of views. My video went viral and garnered 2 million views back then; now it has 2.9 million. I also gained more than 10,000 followers in less than 24 hours. It was crazy. Do you know how many videos I've created that've gone viral? 400 videos with zero traction led me to get a viral video. After realising that my original content wasn't working, I switched to what was effective, which ultimately led me to where I'm now, with 156K followers and videos reaching over 20M views. 7 Lessons I have learned so far: 1. Start even if you don't know what you're doing; I have/had no tools. 2. If you see something that's working, replicate it as much as possible, because the market has shown interest. 3. Don't make the same mistake I did; focus on building a community, not on going viral, because you can lose sight of your goals. 4. Keep the momentum; don't give up. It took me 400 videos to go viral. 5- Star and don't stop. 6- Enjoy the process and the struggle, that's the best part.
